The idea
Lyravista offers guests a unique and immersive experience that blends heritage, tranquility, and modern comfort. Originally built in the 1950s, it embodies timeless elegance and rustic charm—preserving the spirit of Crete’s Minoan roots while embracing the vibrant culture of the island’s wine-producing region.
Meticulously renovated using locally sourced materials and thoughtful techniques, Lyravista has been transformed into a serene sanctuary where guests can unwind and reconnect with nature. It's a peaceful escape from the fast pace of everyday life.
Sustainability lies at the heart of the project. From using a private well to water the gardens to implementing mindful water-saving practices, every choice reflects a commitment to environmental care and authentic hospitality.

The space
Lyravista is thoughtfully designed to create a warm and elegant ambiance that blends traditional elements with contemporary living. The ground floor opens to a bright, open-plan living and dining area where sunlight flows through large windows, connecting the indoors to the lush outdoors.
The cozy corner sofa transforms into two single beds, offering flexible sleeping arrangements for families or friends. A TV adds a touch of entertainment, while the adjacent dining area, with seating for six, encourages shared meals and moments together.
A few steps away, the semi-separate kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and amenities, inviting guests to cook and gather. The ground-floor bathroom, finished in microcement, features a handcrafted bathtub and rainfall shower—a serene spot to unwind after a day in the sun.
Upstairs, two peaceful bedrooms await. The master bedroom features a large bed that can be split into two singles upon request, along with calming views of the pool and village. Its private balcony offers access to the rooftop garden—perfect for slow mornings or starry evenings. The second bedroom, with a cozy double bed, also opens to the rooftop garden through its own balcony door.
A sleek and modern bathroom with a rainfall shower completes the upper level, providing comfort and privacy for all guests.
Outdoors, a private swimming pool invites guests to soak in the Cretan sun, while a shaded BBQ and dining area set the stage for long, leisurely meals. The rooftop garden is a peaceful escape above it all—ideal for sunbathing, stargazing, or enjoying a glass of wine at golden hour.
Convenient private parking is located just at the entrance, making every arrival and departure easy and stress-free.
